EMASAGRA and its Roadmap

Share

One of the sectors that is most committed to the fight against climate change is water, which is very present in its roadmap.

This is because aware companies have committed to analyzing their carbon footprint generated throughout the entire water cycle.

One of the most recognized cases at the national level is that of EMASAGRA. The company set the benchmark year in 2016 and has continued to reduce its contribution to global warming since then.

Following the requirements established by the GHG Protocol and the ISO 14064, EMASAGRA updates its greenhouse gas inventory every year, and with the help of ECOTERRAE tracking and monitoring of emissions reduced and avoided thanks to the good practices that it is progressively implementing.

Furthermore, it should be noted that EMASAGRA has trusted our team to accompany them on the path towards carbon neutrality, which has allowed it to become the first Spanish company in the sector that has calculated, reduced, and offset 100% of its carbon footprint in 2019.

Along with climate action, EMASAGRA has trusted our team to be a pioneer in the calculation and verification of its water and water footprint, according to the guidelines of the Water Footprint Network and the ISO 14046, increasing control over the sustainable consumption of water resources in their own processes.

As an exercise in transparency and engagementwith their interest groups (stakeholders), the company counts on us to coordinate the dialogue with its stakeholders, carry out the materiality analysis, and prepare several of its Sustainability Reports (GRI Standards). In this way, we manage to identify the real expectations of our environment, which leads us to address other new challenges such as increasing business resilience through the design of the Climate Change Adaptation Plan

This roadmap sets the course for us to 2030 and is allowing EMASAGRA generate added value to its entire environment, continually improving in both social and ethical and environmental aspects, and is serving as an example for many other clients in the sector who trust us.
