The need to implement policies to combat climate change is now an undisputed reality.
The increasing awareness of both Spanish and international organisations in relation to the need to take measures to curb and alleviate the phenomenon of climate change is clear to see and needs to be led by the Government Authorities in a coherent manner.
Pursuant to regulatory requirements or European commitments (for example, PACES), national or regional, we at ECOTERRAE support town councils in the decarbonisation of the region and the fight against climate change.
We have established municipal strategies for different regions in the country, working with major cities (Sevilla, Malaga, Leon and Almería), regional governments (Barcelona, Girona, Valencia and Tarragona), and public bodies (regional councils of Andalusia and Galicia).
A total of more than 100 municipalities have managed to define the strategic lines that, aligned with the Urban Agenda and the SDGs, enable them to implement a Municipal Plan against Climate Change, a roadmap of initiatives and a search for the financing of these activities.
These plans, in addition to good public communication and participation, provide our clients with the necessary tools to act as promoters of more sustainable cities.
