The Barcelona Provincial Council trusted Ecoterrae for the development of several Action Plans for Climate and Sustainable Energy (PACES) of several municipalities in Barcelona. In this project, the Reference Emissions Inventories were developed, as well as the Emissions Monitoring Inventories of the municipalities already adhering to the initiative.
On the other hand, Risk and Vulnerability Assessments against Climate Change (ERVCC) were carried out in all municipalities in order to identify possible courses of action to adapt to the impacts of climate change.
In this project, a participatory process was carried out in which the inhabitants of the different municipalities had the opportunity to contribute their concerns and ideas to identify impacts derived from climate change and possible GHG mitigation measures and adaptation to climate change.
